Due to financial reasons, Five has ended its contract with Trisha Goddard...

Another case of the credit crunch being the excuse I think. In reality signing up Trisha gave Five very little benefit at all - she certainly didn't take her audience with her from ITV.

I didn't realise she was still going.

If she was bringing in the revenue through ads she'd have been kept.

Trisha being axed again....

Well I can see her being on Living TV now, I don't think she'll look down the way of ITV again

I don't think she has ever been axed before, remember she jumped ship from ITV to Five.

I can see her doing work for ITV but I doubt it will be the current format as Jeremy Kyle has that covered for the channel.

In the meantime, more appearances on 8 Out Of 10 Cats and another candidate for reality TV then.

I can't see ITV wanting her to be honest - especially given Jeremy Kyle's success.

True, even if Jeremy Kyle makes Trisha's show look classy.

The reason she left ITV was because she wanted her Independent production company to make the programme, ITV refused and insisted it stay at Granada/Anglia and she was offered to go to Five instead.

I know Trisha takes home a great deal of money per year, but talk shows don't cost that much to make do they? And considering they are repeated and I presume shown on Fiver aswell, I'm surprised they've axed it.

Oh well, as long as they don't axe The Wright Stuff, I'm happy.

The Wright Stuff contributes to Five's current affairs output, which I think they have to show a certain amount of. So probably less likely to be axed

Nothing I've ever heard about Kyle has been positive, can't understand why this trash is still going.
