Five - aspect ratio changes on Freeview?

Five seems to have changed the aspect ratio it broadcasts in on Freeview in the last week.

Firstly, on our Daewoo Setpal, widescreen programmes now appear in 16:9 letterbox (on a 4:3 TV), when previously they've appeared in 14:9 on the "Normal 4:3" setting.

And secondly, on my Sagem box the 4:3 picture (eg Five News) now switches to 4:3, rather than being letterboxed in a 16:9 frame which is already letterboxed to 4:3.

Yeah I noticed recently too (posted in "the five thread" http://www.tvforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12810&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=24 ), must have changed monday as I noticed it on Tuesday.

No wonder it's hardly been spotted - that thread was set up quite rightly to discuss the (surprise!) changing to five idents - not every single thing to do with Five.
