Fire

Is this actually being used? I've kept an eye out for it and haven't actually seen it on telly yet; but I don't watch much BBC TWO these days, so I might just keep missing it...

It's used - though not much.

Ta. I'm surprised it's not used more - it's perfect for certain programmes (Red Dwarf, for instance). And definitely the best one produced so far.

Well BBC TWO Wales used it at 6pm today before The Simpsons.

It's been used at closedown on the weekends quite a bit recently. I love it, and havn't got bored of it yet. Definately the best ident on TV currently.

I've never actually seen it on TV yet.
My conclusion - is there a Scotland variant of it yet?

Yes - I taped it a few weeks ago.

Arrgh, I missed that! Ah well you dont see all of it before The Simpsons because it is put out in 4:3, I'll wait to see it in 16:9.

I love my widescreen, i shun 4:3 now i have glorious 16:9!!



I'd have to say ... yes! I don't know whether they'll beat Fire though - its my favorite

BTW: Mods-Page 4A is missing from the left hand menu in the ITV1 section on TVHome, in the ITV1 index though

Yes, Fire is truly magnificent. I really wasn't sure about the new BBC TWO idents when they came in, and I still don't think they're as good as the last lot, but Fire really shows what can be done with the concept. I hope they'll continue to get better and better...

I wasnt sure either, at first light on the dawn of these idents, i shunned them as rubbish and shadows of their former selves. Now i have to agree that they have grown on me, i still like the old set but in retrospect they were quite outdated, imagine those being restored .

They are using them well but there are less of them and all basically quite similar. I think that they should have a wider range of idents - maybe some program specific ones, e.g. the 2 putting a plant in a pot for gardening programs and the 2 maybe in some sort nightclub will crazy lighting etc
