Final BBC2 current Big 2 Close down

Look those new ones ARE good think of the fact of the wacky ideas they could come out with which you couldn't with models. Also I have though of some ideas they could do that would bring back some of the old ones but in a revised way:

Car: A group of 2 Car's zoom along and one starts to break down or juddders along which the camera zooms into.

Neon: The 2 is flashing away when one of the bulbs breaks. Another 2 comes along & fixes it.

Firecracker: The 2 has TNT set up to blow up a rock, it doesn't go off so he goes to investigate it when he does it blows up covering the 2 in smoke.

Paint: The 2 walks along and bumps into a ladder which has paint on it & covers him

All I can think of at the moment


Also any chance of the Yorkshire & Humberside (I think) regional ident plus does anyone know where I can get some regional 's in Real File. Also does anyone have long close downs of Firecracker, Dog, Neon, Copper Cut Out & Glass with no voice over. I do remeber seeing the Dog one once where the Dog is near enough off the screen with the old slanted BBC logo

Going a bit OT...what's the music that plays during the clip?

Any Chance of doing the same for ITV companies that are no longer on air with that music or the silk music that ASA used

that is a fantastic idea - we should all email the beeb and get them to do something like this!! i must admit the new ones are growing on me - esp the one where the 2 is posing, but the (crap) BBC TWO box is facing the wrong way, so the 2 runs up and turns it round- i giggle when i see that one.

but your ideas are fab - the beeb may be looking for some -you should give them the ideas, but mention that they are royalty free - then they won't be tempted to not use them cos someone will say 'hey i came up with that idea!'

They would be really good, if the BBC are very careful they can make the 2 work as a personality. But they'd have to be VERY careful.

I dont like the current idea of the 2 having a personality. The 1991 look was better, and could have carried on for years! Many have come and gone, so they could have easily kept it ffresh.

Thanks for the comments I have a few more ideas not as good as before though:

Paintball: The two walks thoguht the forest witha paint ball gun. It then sneezes & lots of paint ball guns shot at it covering it (like the kit kat ad)

Woodcutter: A 2 is tied up to a tree trunk wood cutter (which they use to cut the whole of a tree trunk in half) & gets cut in half. The two halfs fall on the floor then once it stops both bit jump up & walk off

Paracute: A 2 jumps out of a plane & it's paracute opens, however it fails & it speeds down to the ground & hit's it in a wylie Cyote stylie

Bungee jump: A 2 springs a couple of times up & down until the rope sanps & it falls into the ground half stick out either upside down or the same way up as blade.

That's all for now by the way ASA the two posts I did is their a way to keep them or something incase the BBC do nick these ideas:D

BBC2 used to have an ident for animated shows where you saw a wooden floor and heard a piaon playing the

duh di did a lid al low music which got faster and faster and the piano shaped like a 2 fell into show throught the floor and chrased several hundred feet below in a little circlely poof thing.

look at this image in The TV Room in the regional section half way where BBC2 NI is & there is a weather image, Now surely if they can do this in this colour scheme why not have a more varied collour scheme for the current ones
