It seems theres a version of Domino too, that starts a bit later into the animation

What? Oh no! I was hoping the other version of Domino would be where all those 2s actually DO fall down!

Lets hope they fall down and never come back. They are awful IMO.

I must admit, I do quite like the domino one, it's by the far the best of a bad bunch. If that one had been introduced as an additional ident to all the old ones, I think it would have been fine.

Why? Aren't they shown in 4:3 or something? :



I didn't like them at first, but now I have grown to like them. I wonder why the 'BBC TWO' box is purple on some idents and blue on others?

They are shown in 4:3 but you know thats not my problem with them. I just think they are pathetic. the 1991 Idents were much better and much more well thought out.

Stop it! Stop it all of you! I bet in 1991 you didn't just say 'Hey,this is a good bunch' when you saw the first 2 ident!If I had a memory of the first appearance of a 2 with a bit of paint thrown over it, I'd surely think 'Gee,BBC Two have really gone low budget' after waking up and seeing the end of a very nice animated 2,to a bit of paint thrown over a small metal 2 with a sound of a small gong!

I well remember the first appearance of the '2', and I was absolutely appalled. I thought paint being thrown onto a 2 was just a completely ridiculous idea for an ident, and it did take some time to grow to like them.

I did think that day was a complete disaster for BBC presentation - we went from a beautiful BBC1 blue-and-gold globe, and a pleasant-enough TWO to what I thought was the worst globe ever and some completely stupid 2's. At least they finally got their act together and made their trailers and captions consistent between the two channels.

Of course I eventually changed my mind about the 2's...but never really liked that globe.

I was to young to remember the BBC1 COW Globe and the 'TWO' logo from 1986-1991! My first memories are the 1991 '2's! I used to love Powder when I was younger and Firecracker because I loved explosions, I never had a bad word to say about those idents, partly because I hadn't seen the predecessors, but as we've noticed over the last 2 days, those '2's from 1991 onwards to Sunday cannot be beaten!

You'll love them in a few years,mark my words!

When the 2s were introduced, the first one I saw was Water, and I thought it was rather dull. But I liked a lot of them straight away - especially Paint and Copper Cut-Out.
