the evening mail tv listings shows no closedown on sunday which is strange? i reakon theres been an increase in the playing of kebab recently (or have i just noticed it more)
btw, both those compilations were great - i would have done a bbc 2 midlands compilation of lights, venus fly trap, paint, blade etc., but im using my video to record the final showing of the current idents.
(NB tomorow 1pm is the last showing of bbc 2 midlands(&english regions) of the current idents)
on the subject of replacing the idents - couldnt they have copied Carlton - by using the current set of idents for the first few seconds - then 'mix' (eg. on blade - introduce a reflection which blinds the camera to make the screen white) to reveal a common ending to the ident - thus giving the channel a coherant image - whilst keeping popular idents - and probably saving money

Spotted an odd looking trailer on BBC2 this evening; no |B|B|C| TWO displayed during the trail, which led me to think it was for BBC Knowledge, but then the details all appeared together at the end:

Except in the London region where a regional BBC2 ident hasn't been shown for months. Wonder if they'll bother making new versions for the English regions with opt-outs due to move to BBC1?
And only about the 6th or 7th outing for the BBC TWO Yorkshire & Lincolnshire Ident, It was hardly worth bothering

I was planning to do a balloon farewell, but having listened to all the balloon soundtracks, they're all to fast and upbeat (I've tried slowing them down, but they sound tacky...) . Perhaps a slow, tear-jerking soundtrack would be best

yep, yesterdays was 23sec swan (with announcer) - tonights was 16second swan without announcer - i felt it was worth staying up for anyway! could be the last - depending on wether they fit a closedown in tomorow?
