Film4 are to launch a new look tomorrow.





Here's one of their new idents:

It's a shame they haven't taken the opportunity to change the logo. I can't say I've ever been a fan of it.

Nor me, I actually preferred the original (when it read "FilmFour").

The current idents have been around eight years, since the channel went FTA I think? That's some stretch.

It does complete Channel 4's refresh of its channels; Channel 4 itself in 2010, More4 in 2012, E4 last year and now Film4.

It's a shame they haven't taken the opportunity to change the logo. I can't say I've ever been a fan of it.

I prefer the abstract version in the current idents or the red on white version. The one used as a front cap on their films isn't bad either.

Not a huge fan of it just appearing in line form and do think in this new idents the 4 itself could do with being bolder.

Rather liking what I have seen so far - but, once again, no-one seems to have considered how detailed, fast-actioned idents look when show on SD digital broadcasts with heavy compression. I'm sure they're fine in HD, though.

Has anyone else noticed the Petrol station ident is at the same location of the Channel 4 Diner ident?
