Inspired by this thread and having a quick look for closedowns on YouTube brought up this great 1979 sign off from WNBC New York. It goes on a bit but has it all - news, sport weather, an epilogue, editorial reply, public information films and messages all ending in standard US TV disclaimers and the national anthem:
And this is how the same thing looked about 6 years later: https://youtu.be/yXmli9P0O80

How about the ultimate closedown video? The tape, now digitised, that will play on CNN at the end of the world: https://jalopnik.com/this-is-the-video-cnn-will-play-when-the-world-ends-1677511538

I remember seeing that clip on the Private Parts years ago. Good to see it here in much higher quality!

Any US TV closedown with the national anthem makes me think of the opening of Poltergeist.
And that "television code" logo is familiar, as it (or some variant of it) appears in the credits of pretty much any US TV show made between the 50s and the early 80s.

Seeing as we have a thread for breakdowns, why not for closedowns too?

It aired on TVNZ 7 on their last night a few years ago.

A startup rather than a closedown here from WNYW - Fox 5 New York who used part of The Service Medley by The DCA Experience mixed with the Star Spangled Banner... There's another example elsewhere on YouTube of the same sequence at closedown.
A sign off here from Toronto CTV affiliate CFTO, after the religious bit, announcer and later weather forecaster Dave Devall (who retired in 2009) bids us goodnight over the strains of ELO's "The Whale" before the British and Canadian National Anthems.
There were a few different films accompanying O Canada used at closedown by CTV and I believe shared by CBC over the years - as well as the one above, here are a couple of my favourites:

This was quite a famous closedown sequence from ATN Channel 7 in Sydney and featured on the close of their analogue TV service:
