Voiceover over a black screen? That's weird.

I'm sure that talking over a black screen was a big no-no at the BBC for that very reason

It's also funny because I had just been thinking, "Why is BBC One the only channel messing up lately?" And then I checked TV Home and saw this. Maybe they got lazy at 3:30 in the morning...

Not as much of a breakdown and more of a cock-up, but on the morning of December 2nd (and I mean early morning Sign Zone) BBC Two for no apparent reason used Revelatory instead of a Christmas ident going into Panorama. Darn Panorama messing up another channel! Also Two's Sign Zone idents are missing the COTY branding, although that might be intentional.

EDIT: Revelatory actually seems to be used as a Sign Zone-exclusive serious programming ident right now.

Do the regions usually have regional idents before the national news?

Well, it’s a generic ident with a custom local announcement - I’m not sure I would call it a “regional ident”.

Apparently there was a mess-up at the end of tonight's Brexitcast. Voiceover about Americast while Laura and Adam were still speaking.

it had the region name, therefore I believe it's a regional ident. I think i was only suprised because TV Home usually has normal idents.

What else would you call it? It’s an ident, played regionally solely to that region name checking the regional presenter.
Two minutes regions...

All regions except London, which takes the network announcer and ident with no mention of the regional presenter.
