Best (and funniest) ad recently has to be the Bisto ad with the elderly couple sitting
down for their evening meal. The old guy hogs all the gravy, and his missus says,
"I've got something to tell you . . . "
"Oh yeah . . .?" he says
"I'm pregnant!" she replies.
He falls back on his chair, she swaps plates around and says, "Ah . . . Bisto!"
When the old guy get's back up he asks, "Is it mine?!?"
Absolutely hilarious!
I HATE that advert!
There was once a time when it wasn't Christmas until the ads for QC came around. Also,
does anyone remeber back to the days when some of the adverts would have the picture
shrink back to about half it's size, at the end, revealing the logo for Allied Lyons, usually
white text on a blue background, and accompanied by some well known voiceover of
the time which always said, "From Allied Lyons, a great British Company."

If I was feeling particularly unsophisticated I would say WHASSUP but that's just silly...
I think the Peugeot one where the guy smashes up his car to make it look like a 20*whatever* is quite amusing, as are the Skoda ones... But at the moment it has to be the egg advert, with the fingers in ears solution to your debts! Brilliant!

The missus being the brilliant Liz Smith. First time I saw that ad I almost wet myself!
As for me, I like the new Boots advert with the lady doing detox and having a fit when watering her flowers... and as mentioned before, a Tennent's ad that's running in NI set in a Bangkok Scottish-themed bar with the bar staff speaking in Scottish accents.
And one of the worst has to be the current ASDA Roll Back ad with the shoppers being handed out hard hats. Oh yes, like you're likely to sustain an injury worthing of ringing up one of those claim lines being struck on the head by a falling computer generated price leaflet!

I do.
I have an ad on tape for Country Manor wine ("So light. So subtle. So buy some") with the Allied Lyons legend. That was from 1985. A year later, they changed the Allied Lyons logo into a blue ribbon that animated at the end of the ad, I saw it on an old Castlemaine XXXX ad I had once that has since been taped over

My favourite ad has to be for Furniture Village - don't know if anyone outside the London area can see it. They have the nicest furniture and it's nice to look at - I would say have but when I went on their website and saw a £3000 (no typing error!) price tag for a bed looking is all I can afford to do!

The sad thing is that, when I went into Asda the other day, some of the staff were actually wearing these things. I thought it was for them working in the big-shelved sections or something, just in case they got attacked by falling Pampers... obviously not.

Going regional, I do like the Meadowhall adverts, the Xmas one was good with the animated man giving the wrong presents out, and the sales one with the animated women rushing to the sales still in her slippers!
