So this has become a father ted quote thread now has it?
Just on the same theme why I think Yuppy Love is best fools & horses episode besides the obvious. The whole episode is .. (I hate to use this term because it’s so often abused).. Mutli layered (but it is). 2 different stories that start together separate the meet in the middle briefly then part then meet up again at the end.
And it’s just packed with so many good gags in this episode more than any other course not forgetting the 'you know what' bit. Just some of best comic situation comedy ever written anywhere ever (IMO)
"I saw one of those old 5 pound notes the other day"
"This coats yours" "How'd you know this one's mine?" "It's got your name written in it"
"Is it supposed to do that?"
"Pease drive away...." "Mike accused me of stealing of his pork pies. What do I what his rotten pork pies for I don't even like Pork Pies" (later on gives Pork Pie to Del) "Here have this I don't want it"
"Is it still raining out?" "NO! I took a shortcut thought a car wash!"
"You wanna dance?" "No" "She's defiantly a lesbian"
"He's bribed her that’s what he's done he's offered her half the winnings!" *
*Even though the BBC edited that line out on the DVD version you really think we wouldn’t notice
Frasier: Ham Radio, The Innkeepers, An Affair To Forget, The Matchmaker, Roz In The Doghouse, Dial M For Martin, Dr Nora, Halloween, Daphne's Room (I always liked the out and out funny episodes and none of the Niles/Daphne centred crap).
Porridge: A Night In, A Day Out, No Way Out, The Desperate Hours (in fact just pick any episode from the three series)
The Goodies: Goodies Rule OK (giant Dougal nuff said), The End, Earthanasia, Kitten Kong, Movies
Seinfeld: The Contest, The Soup Nazi, The Yada Yada, The Outing
Are You Being Served?: German Week
Blackadder 2: Potato (Tom Baker as a mad seadog captain)
Blackadder Goes Forth: Goodbyeee
Only Fools and Horses: Dates, The Jolly Boys Outing, the first Christmas trilogy (where the show should have ended)
Red Dwarf: Polymorph, Cassandra, Krytie TV, Emohawk: Polymorph 2, Gunmen of The Apocalypse, Psirens, Legion
Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em: Cliffhanger, Rollerskates, Motorbike, the episode where Betty gives birth, or when they go to the hotel for the weekend and wreck the place (even if you don't like the show you have to admit that Michael Crawford was amazing as Frank Spencer. The greatest physical comedy performance ever in a sitcom)
Home Improvement: When Tim knocks out Bob Vila
Cheers: the episode with the beard growing contest, any of the episodes where they took on Gary's Old Town Tavern, Cliff on Jeopardy or when he has electro shock therapy to make himself less annoying, the episode where Carla sees her dead husband everywhere, Sam's battles with John Allen Hill (my all time favourite US sitcom infinitely better than Frasier)
The Phil Silvers Show: where he defends the monkey in court.
Ever Decreasing Circles: the episode where Martin is tricked into thinking he cheated on Anne with a prostitute, and the one where Paul plays for Martin's cricket team and is brilliant at it (better than The Good Life).
Fawlty Towers: The Hotel Inspectors, The Germans, the Kipper and teh Corpse
Dad's Army: Don't tell him Pike! (the only good episode they did)
I always find it hard to single out a particular episode, but without a doubt, my favourite TV show of all time has to be One Foot In The Grave. I'd probably say my favourite episode was "The Beast In The Cage" which was the famous 'stuck in a traffic jam' episode. Second favourite would be "The Trial" which had victor in the house on his own for an entire episode.

Dont forget victor and margaret, in the doctor's office, for a whole episode.
Do you know, it's ridiculous, they have just released every series and christmas special on dvd, but because there were no accompanying series for the christmas specials in 95 and 97 they seem to have overlooked releasing the two episodes!

Yes I bought the 'Complete Collection' box-set the other day to find those 2 wern't there when I checked it against an online episode guide. This is a case for the trades act surely "Complete Collection" and its NOT that is false branding.
