Judge John Deed: Economic Imperative (hard choice to make)
When they business execs, try to plant pornogrophy on the Judge's Computer, there is a great race to get rid of it!

Waking the Dead: Shadowplay Prt 2
When DC Mel Silver is pushed off the building, the silence and atmosphere, took my breath away, you dont expect a principle cast member to die!

Drawn Together: Gay Bash
Xander comes out of the closet, and they hold a big gay bash for him, with cameos from childrens TV characters such as Elmer Fudd and Snagglepuss

Mr Bean: The Trouble with Mr Bean
How they had him driving his mini, and getting dressed, its remarkable, and its obvious there were no stunt dobles, who else could be Bean!

South Park: Best Friends Forever (one of many favourites)
This is so hard to pick, but when this image appears on the HBC news report I cry with laughter...

Strange: Costa Burra
This one is good as it has a nice old lady and a little girl as the evil monster, which makes it funny, but also you feel sorry for her.

Demash!taa! Powerpuff Girls Z: Bubble of First Love
Its so different from the other episodes and is very thought provoking and well directed

The Sopranos: Funhouse
They group have to bump off their friend Pussy, Tony gets a stomach upset and has weird dellusions, and the mum gets arrested with the stolen plane tickets

Hustle: Whittaker Our Way Out
The way they dip into the Charlie Chaplin esc sequences, and the interesting twist both with the ghost and the end

The Legend of Zelda - Animation: Underworld Connections (1990s on GMTV)
This episode is the closest in terms of story to the original game, but it is a nice episode in its own right, funny and beautiful visually.

Family Guy: Petarded
This episode has so many great moments, peaking at women in the toilet "sorry i'm retarded. Thats ok" lol
http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/petarded.jpg

Drop the Dead Donkey: Sally's Accountant
Sallys transformation on the phone, and Henry's reaction to Ken Livingstone's words!
http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/drop.jpg

Time Gentlemen Please: Farts of Darkness
Terry's mum dies, and they have a heart to heart, one of two really character driven episodes

Yes Minister: The Skeleton in the Cupboard
There is not a bad episode among them, but this one I choose because the minister manages to get one totally over Sir Humphrey.
Sir Humphrey: "Minister, I think there is something you perhaps ought to know."
Jim Hacker: "Yes Humphrey?"
Sir Humphrey: "The identity of the Official whose alleged responsibility for this hypothetical oversight has been the subject of recent discussion, is NOT shrouded in quite such impenetrable obscurity as certain previous disclosures may have led you to assume, but not to put too fine a point on it, the individual in question is, it may surprise you to learn, one whom you present interlocutor is in the habit of defining by means of the perpendicular pronoun."
Jim Hacker: "I beg your pardon?"
Sir Humphrey: "It was...I."

Yes Prime Minister: The Key
Sir Humphrey's passionate apology at the end after trying to get into the cabinate office through the Garden Door!

Afterlife: the 7:59 club
This is drama at its best! And what a cliffhanger...

Father Ted: Kicking Bishop Brennan Up The Arse (again all good episodes)
This moment...

Fawlty Towers: The Hotel inspectors
Spoooons??

I'm Alan Partridge: The Colour of Alan (not the best but memorable)
"Ooooo, you're gonna have a good time..."

Bottom: Carnival
They start filming an entry for You've been framed, and find John Major's home made porn tape

Fraiser: They're Playing Our Song
Here is why i like it

MONOLOGUE

Who dares enter the dark labyrinth of the human mind?

What festering secrets are buried in the recesses of the subconscious?

Lurid images!

Lewd desires!

Guilty pleasures!

Strange compulsions!

The whole catalogue of human behavior from the aberrant to the
monstrous lurks behind a locked door to which one man holds
the key!

MONOLOGUE END

So if you are stymied to find a prognosis
And ask yourself, just like Freud:
"Himmel, was los ist?"
Stop scratching your head, let us cure it instead

The tortured terrain of your brain
The man who feels everyone's pain...

Thats about it i think, there are probably many more I cant think of this very minute...

Oh one I forgot...

Fruits Basket: The Clearing Sky - Final 3 Episodes
This one had me in tears like Grave of the Fireflies. Its so sad only 26 episodes were made, when the manga is still in print and ongoing.

Fawlty Towers: The Germans
Why: You can never have too many Hitler impersonations on the BBC

Blackadder: Private Plane
Why: Woof.

Bottom: 'S Out
Why: Because Eddie had a packet of chocolate Hob Nobs.

Friends: The One Where it Could Have Been (Parts 1 & 2)
Why: Monica dancing in the fat suit.

Men Behaving Badly: The Good Pub Guide
Why: Cos pubbing is just great!

Only Fools & Horses: Heroes and Villains
Why: Na na na na na na na na BatMan!!

Red Dwarf: Gunmen of the Apocalypse
Why: Such a well-written episode. I also like series 7 eps 1, 7 and 8 purely cos my laughter's in them! (Listen for a cough after Kryten says "Last week on Red Dwarf, something terrible happened to Mr Lister's arm - watch this". That's me!!)

The Simpsons: Summer of 4 ft 2.
Why: Summer's a bit like going to the pub - that's great too!

South Park: Return of the Chef, Scot Tennorman Must Die, The Jeffersons, The Urinal Deuce.
Why so many: They're all fantastic episodes! Return of the Chef has a brilliant poke-in-the-eye tribute to Isacc Hayes' role as Chef too (Kyle's soliloquy at the end - well written, guys!)

And I agree I'd've thought this would be more popular! Perhaps one for The Lounge.

Did you see a screening of them then? Series 7 was without audience wasn't it?

How was it done, did Doug Naylor give an intro or anything?
GM
nodnirG kraM
Yeah back in October 1996. The screening was at Teddington Studios. Ed Bye and the cast introduced the episodes and apologised for the lack of sound effects and incidental music, hoping the audience won't think "this is sh|t!". Of course they were gonna sort that out in the dub. Razz

Going back to the reference to Father Ted, I personally think that Speed 3 is the funniest episode ever! It really is laugh a minute, and one of the best ideas for an episode of a sitcom ever (for those who haven't seen it, it's like the Speed films, but set on a milkfloat).
