Very disappointed you haven't included a specific mention for the Look East 1995 Christmas Music... What started out as "Look East with a hint of Christmas" ended up as "Christmas with a hint of Look East"...

I voted for Reporting Scotland as it simply works the best with it's vamp - especially when they do the 1.35 properly and have sting - vamp - full titles. Sounds lovely. Plus the "didalidalidaludaboomboom" in the middle of the theme is just delightful.

The best music IMO was the 6.30 theme for Look North (NE&C) in 1997 - fantastic glossy remix of the theme they'd had the two previous times. I still think it would not have been hard to corporatise it in the same style but oh no - London knows best.

Ahh, it's lovely, I'd never seen that before -- try doing something jingly and pretty like that with the bland themes we have now, with their *urgent* beeps and thunderclaps. Hmmm...

I have to say I like the Wales Today version best, theres just somethinng about it the others don't have. I really like the way it starts too.

Delightful the Look East Christmas 95 music!

Back to now and the powerful and energetic LDN music has my vote.

It has to be the Wales Today version! And the remix of it for 2W News & Sport is even better yet! I quite like the Newyddion BBC music too. Basically Wales has all the best versions of the BBC News theme!

I do like the Wales Today theme, and in my opinion it's the best out of the 2 other nations.

I must say, however, that I do really like the visuals to Reporting Scotland. That blue and pink is most calming!

LDN has the beat and an energetic feel unlike the reginal ones (eg : Midlands Today). I hope the music replaces the current reginal themes (maby remixed fro each region?!)

The previous Spotlight music (lighthouse mark 2 - the look before the corporate one) is some of the best music I have ever heard for a television programme.
