Does anyone know when the ban will actually take place because I still see adverts for McDonald's, Coco Pops, Capri Sun and Weetabix on CITV.

Why would Weetabix be a problem? I thought that was one of the healthier cereals - it's mostly wheat!

Indeed, standard Weetabix (and a significant amount of the Weetabix range) isn't high in fat, salt, or sugar.

EDIT: Capri Sun also doesn't come under the definition, and McDonald's may not if they only foods not within the HFSS definition.

Could be worse:

(couldn't find this on YouTube, quickly cobbled it together)

I'm not confident it will have much effect because kids are turning their back on broadcast TV and are watching YouTube videos instead.

A bit like a repeat of the cigarette advertising ban. Messrs Lambert and Butler make me laugh, therefore I will start smoking. It doesn't work like that...

McDonald's only advertise nuggets, fruit bags, water, wraps and the toy in their Happy Meal ads.
