I used to be in the same youth theatre as Ben Price from Corrie. Had a few lifts in his old VW Beetle!

Not really a 'famous' person, but Adrian Hedley from Jigsaw and Over to You once taught me drama.

From a teaching point of view, Pat Keysell, co-host of Vision On with Tony Hart was one of my lecturers - she taught mime amongst other things; and the late Alex McAvoy - immortalised as the sadistic teacher in Pink Floyd's The Wall was also my, er.. teacher.

There's some ancient references for you.

Many here have met lots of people in the business over the years - but threads saying, "he's nice, she's not" based on passing them in the street are a bit daft - I'm sure no one here could be summed up in a split second encounter.

Nor, I'm sure, would you want to be.

People who've met me briefly often say I'm nice - once they get to know me it's a different story!

Yes indeed, maintaining the veneer of being charming does take a lot of energy.

When mine wears off I come and post something on TV Forum.

I was once (accidentally) knocked into a plant trough by Sherrie Hewson in 2001 at Carlton TV studios. That's my television-personality lame to fame.

Met Roy Barraclough, a real gent. Also met Jason Manford recently, really lovely and down-to-earth

Dermot Murnaghan presented me with a trophy at my school prize day years ago.

And I shook hands with Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie at the Today show in New York a few weeks ago. Slightly off topic, but if you're in any way interested in television, and you happen to be in New York, pop along to the Rockefeller Center any weekday morning. Its great fun. And the presenters really do make an effort to talk to the crowds outside. And do the NBC Studio Tour - great to be able to stand right in the middle of Brian Williams' Nightly News studio.

Just to throw in my tuppence worth!

Met plenty of people (Bill Bailey, Vernon Kaye, Roy Noble) but am I the only TVForumer who was nearly killed by a TV celebrity?

Well......I was nearly run over in London by Debbie McGee (Mrs Paul Daniels) when she pulled suddenly out of a side street just up from Tower Records. My legs came into contact with her front bumper.

She apologised afterwards.

My Mate met Clare and Sarah of Hollyoaks and they seemed nice

Kristnan Guru Murphy once gave me a dirty look, I was but feet away from Brian Cox, Kirsten O'Brien was wholly unimpressed by the fact we shared the same surname, I briefly offended Miranda Hart, I spoke to Jay Hunt who was lovely and an absolute milf, Al Murray touched my elbow, I spoke with Ore of Newsround, I met Justin from Something Special, drank coffee with Mr Maker, saw the one-armed CBeebies presenter, I stood behind John Humphreys without realising, I once went through a brief period where I would see Richard Bacon every few days.

Most of the famous people ive met are Corrie and Emmerdale cast.

Ive met all of the current corrie cast apart from Emily, Rita, Dennis, Kirsty (Tyrone's girlfriend) and Brian (Julie's boyfriend). Plus ive met a lot of past Corrie cast.
