Actual Seasons and Broadcast seasons are different in America, because some broadcasters love to cut up seasons and show them at a later date. Futurama had 4 actual seasons but on TV it had 5 as i think they showed the latter half of Season 4 like a year after it was made..

Was going to mention Futurama there are actully 5 US TV season's of it, but 4 UK DVD seasons Confused Altho with both Family Guy & Futurama DVD's I have checked up rather obessively and made sure. The order is different but we do still get ALL the episodes.

Family Guy Season 4 is split into 2 volumes in the USA over here they have renamed them Season 4 & season 5. Confused Confused Confused So an educated guess to me is that the current season airing with US (Season 5) will be released as Season 6 in the UK.

I saw Family Guy last week on BBC3. They had some very funny episodes from Season 4 where Stewie falls for his babysitter and where the Griffin family hide in Chinatown.

But I think the timeslot is too late because the episodes where shown around 11.30pm. It would have been better if they showed them at either 9.30pm or 10.30pm.

Stewie: Guess what? I'm going to spit in your mouth while you're sleeping. Razz

As the networks can't be bothered to schedule the programme properly then I say STUFF THEM! That's why I bought season 4 DVD without watching any episodes on TV and will do the same for season 5.

Oh well, lets just say that this high quality programme, which is funnier than the simpsons, deserves to be on bbc2 at a better time slot.....
