I was quite surprised by this actually as I thought a daily soap was an easy way for five to make up it's quota of UK programming.
Hopefully EastEnders will be next though!
As for Hollyoaks, they are having a big clear out in the Autumn with a major relaunch for it's 10th anniversary. Interestingly, they are also bringing in Tinhead from Brookie - the second character to cross over after Matt Musgrove (though this was never official - just same actor, same character name)!
