I have GCSE, AS and A level music. I also have an ACAM Diploma on the Electronic Organ. Don't tell me I don't know a thing about music because it's not true! That bursuary is only there as the BBC should really put a "public service" element to it.

Sentiment echoed again - Alex would obliterate any Pop Idol competition!!

You're the one at it now, How do you know when you don't watch both shows. They could be someone indentical to Alex in the final of Pop Idol!

Nonsense - as you're such an 'accomplished' person, you would surely welcome ANY new initiative to help young music talent in this country.

Do yourself a favour - stop being so flipping cynical about their aims with this bursary. There's enough of that on this forum without you adding more to it. If you care about the future of youth talent in this country, get behind it and don't knock it!

For goodness sake, I don't watch Pop idol (I might after FA has finished) so I don't visit the PI threaed. Why don't FA viewers stick to this thread and PI to the other!

On the subject of tonights show, I though Alex was excellent and deserves to win hands down. Sure, Alistair is funny and a good songwriter, but he isn't very special in the singing stakes.

BTW, Simon Cowell has told a newspaper that he watches FA and wishes he could sign Alex. Hmmm...

From a viewer abroad...

I live in the Netherlands (which is just across the sea)
I have seen the shows broadcast on BBC 1
The only UK channels we can receive here are BBC 1, BBC2 and BBC World Crying or Very sad

However I don't have the luxury of Freeview or digital tv nor can I call to vote,
nevertheless I have been observing Fame Academy 2 since it started.
I found it very entertaining and I loved every minute of it
It is amazing to see how much talent and potential there is present when I see the shows.

Good luck Wink and congratulations to ALEX
Good luck Wink to all the other students.

May your talents never founder...
Best of luck to you all!
