as a description of the Saturday nights it's mean but fairish. Fame Academy is also the live stream and Claudia on BBC3 though which the BBC - by not having the Big Bro style roundup show this year - have badly handled. As it's just the Saturday show it just looks like a bad talent contest - if you watch the rest of it then it looks like a proper expulsion show which it is.
Alistair Louise and Peter? I think this shows how falwed this years voting is. Quite how Barry has stayed in this long I'll never know.
I'll just wait to see which one of these two go - I don't want Al and Lousie to split up though as they are such a good couple. This one will be a close vote though and you can tell the students are not happy.
Well Louise is gone. Shouldn't have although she lasted a long time compared to how the papers would have wanted. Not happy,
Now is this the fault of the all week voting or because we can't actually "evict" a person - if we could I think Louise would have gone by now mind you.
Why is Barry still in the Academy?? Ireland. I bet if a survey was done, Republic and Northern Ireland viewers would be most likely to pick up the phone and vote. Not necessarily true of Sinead last year, as she
was
talented, but they're obviously patriotic (or tone deaf).
Louise deserved to go. Although she was improving, I kept looking at her and seeing "Kids' TV Presenter". Doesn't have pop-singer personality, and too sensitive for the (to steal a phrase from elsewhere) 'pop idol' status. Carolynne is also sensitive, but she has the personality to fight it off. I got the impression with Louise she would run away and hide behind Jenson (note argument with Alistair).
Personally, I'd like to see either Alistair or Carolynne win the whole thing. Alex doesn't seem to want to win it (and I think will prefer to be runner-up and take that route into the biz). Paris is beginning to bug me - he's becoming a bit repetitive. He has a nasty arrogance which was fine to begin with but he's just too hostile for the audience, methinks. Peter just can't sing. Robbie Williams gets away with not being able to sing in tune because of his personality, which I think Peter lacks - he can't connect with 'the people'.
Alistair is a good all-rounder, but maybe a bit too Savage Garden - can't wait to see some more song-writing from him. Carolynne just has a great voice (the best in the academy imho), but maybe won't have people idolising her and sending her up the charts.
So, all in all, although I'm enjoying the series, I still can't really see a winner in there, or anyone who deserves it. Barry and James need to go (they're just not good enough - too karaoke), but between the rest, I'm not that bothered!
Barry really has to go soon, he's just so awful. I'm not that sad about Louise going, I didn't think she was anything special, although she seemed really nice.
As for who's gonna win, I think we need someone who is different and I think Richard Park wants someone who isn't just a teen entertainer, so someone like Alex or Peter, not Alistar or Carolyne, who would be the typical 'talent show' winners. The main problem last year about FA for me was that David won. Although he is very talented, he wasn't different enough to the Pop Idol lot (although he can write his own songs which is, I grant you, a huge difference), but really FA needs someone who will be credible and I think thats really only gonna be Alex and perhaps Peter at a push.

I would think that too, the person needs to be as popular as s/he can humanly be, remember that the winning student's song may be released at or near the time the Pap Idol winner's single. They NEED to keep hold of Alex and (much as it pains me to write this) Peter as long as possible.
