I know it has been on UK screens again for over a year now but it is worth discussing Falcon Crest. It is on CBS Drama weekdays 0900 & 1900 and we are now up to Season Eight.

Many fans may have been shocked to see the wrong episode on Friday which should have been the Season Eight premiere, hopefully it will be back on track tomorrow.

A little bit of trvia for fans, the series was created by Earl Hamner who also created The Waltons and you may have noticed certain locations were used for both series. The General Store has been used several times in Falcon Crest, the Waltons House has too and other locations.

I used to watch it on ITV Granada in the 1980s although Season Nine was premiered on Sky One so many fans will not have had the chance to see if conclude.

Any other comments are most welcome.

I take it this is the very first programme Sky poached from the main channels.

It could quite easily have been.

I remember Season Eight was shown in the Granada region, most likely 1989 or 1990 however, the final season, nine, was not shown.

I somehow do not think any of the other regions showed it either, I could be wrong.

We in the Granada region were around eighteen months behind too.

It varied from Thursday evening, Tuesday evenings to in the end a Friday daytime drama.

ITV should have used this as their Dallas which was also made by the same company.

It was a Daytime drama in Thames and TVS in 1985, still going out in prime time in stv, central and TT
