Why do you think that this is coming to terrestrial tv so quickly it was only released in the summer wasn't it?

Fab film though!

I love the bit where Bushy gets told about the twin towers in that classroom and just sits there looking into space for 10 minutes! Laughing

Documentary films air alot quicker than feature films as they are generally topical - so airing it a couple of years later is pointless.

I don't think it's been screened on Sky either, so that speeds things up!

To be fair to Bush on this bit (although I strognly oppose the man). At the time the first attack happened, they didn't know the extremes of the attack so nothing that much could be done could it.

i know many people dislike the man, but he is only human. the fact he was gob smacked was probably due to the fact he's the most powerful man in the world, and yet he knew there was little or nothing he could do to save the thousands of people involved. if michael moore or even al gore were sitting in exactly the same position, as US president at exactly the same moment, i very much doubt they'd have acted differently.

I haven't seen Fahrenheit 9/11 though I will watch it this week. I don't much like George W Bush, however I don't much like Michael Moore either. I'd be very surprised if anything that he'd produced turned out to be anyway close to editorially balanced.

I've seen one of his other films Bowling for Columbine. It was about America and the gun laws etc. Part of it was to do with the school disastor in Columbine. The film was very good so I suspect this will be to.

Sort of connected to the cinema-to-TV path, why was Terminator 3 shown on terrestrial television way before the standard wait of 3 years?

I can't even recall it being on Sky Movies or Box Office.

Five manages to get an exclusive deal with the film company that made Terminator 3, it is part of a deal so some other films will be coming aswell, I know their deal with Sony/Columbia Tristar will come into affect this year, so films like Spiderman and Men in Black II, will be on Five.

As for Farenheit 9/11, good to see it will be on Channel 4, though I'm peeved off as I only bought it on DVD not too long back. (Well in the sales)

Fahrenheit 9/11 is also made by the people at Film Four and is part of their documentary season so this is why channel 4 have the premiere. Wink
