What is the idea then? Are they going to save the animal that wins and then shoot the rest?

I must say I do find the format rather cynical. A potentially very good show, that's ruined by the fact that it's been made into a competition. It just doesn't feel...right.

Well at least half of their money's going to the human kids eh?!

It will get low ratings, helped by the BBC who seemingly want to make the show as extinct as some of the animals may be
They moved the Strictly Come Dancing results opposite it, swapping with the lottery which is now in a very late 9.20pm slot

Basically the animal with the most votes gets the most money spent on its conservation. the remaining money gets divided between the other seven animals. its a bit sick IMO as all 8 should share the money as they are all in need of it.

"Who dies....you decide"
Good old ITV twist on a format. I imagine various celebrities are backing different animals?
It also appears that they're giving away several luxury holidays to viewers- again a very odd mix of charity, X-factor style voting nonsense and wasting money in ITV Play style competitions
Mr. Grade, you really have got your work cut out.

Was 'crass' the word you were looking for?
When Anneka Rice wasn't worrying that one of the bears would wake up, she was complaining about the cold whilst explaining the dangers of climate change - which I found rather ironic..

They'd have been better off launching on Sunday or Monday after Corrie.
A show doesnt have to be sucessful just because it has Corrie before it you know.
If people are going to watch it they will.
True, but it has much more of a natural inheritance from Corrie than it does from The X Factor.

This programme is just a joke - yet again wanting viewers to vote etc. Just so ITV can make some cash and say they're giving it to causes. The studio is tacky and the audience is like its an Entertainement programme! To be honest they're shouldn't be an audience for this type of programme!

I'm unsure about the programme. I like the idea of the programme to support animals, I would hate to see any of them become extinct, but I'm not sure on the voting.
At the end of the day though it's an easy way for them to make up the money to give to the animals, surely more people will vote rather than simply donate money.
I'm also unsure on the studio element, in my opinion having it live on location in a zoo would have been a better idea. Great films, great studio just shame about audience being present.
