Begins on Saturday then in between The X Factor, continuing on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 8pm with the final episode next Saturday.

It's hosted by Trevor McDonald and Zoe Ball - with celebs doing pieces about eight different species, and then the bit that trivilises the show, viewers voting for which one to save!

Half the money raised will go towards that, with the other half split between the seven remaining species.

Zoe Ball is also hosting "Extinct - The Quiz", which airs daily at 5pm.

Well the studio is very impressive, the music and titles are slightly weird and the graphics are good. You can judge for yourself later tonight.

On to the quiz, I am not sure if bringing in animal poo to the studio was wise with 8 kids there, they didn't respond well with it. And broadcasting children gagging over poo at dinner time won't be wise viewing come Tuesday.

Oh well.. I missed it!

I saw a report on North East Tonight about Extinct - I think it was on thursday. It was with Kenny Toal reporting and it looked quite interesting. So I will be watching the programme tonight at 7:30pm! Wink

The studio tonight look pretty good, and not a bad show actually. You can't fail with polar bears and pandas - though despite that low figures wouldn't surprise me.

They'd have been better off launching on Sunday or Monday after Corrie.

It will get low ratings, helped by the BBC who seemingly want to make the show as extinct as some of the animals may be

They moved the Strictly Come Dancing results opposite it, swapping with the lottery which is now in a very late 9.20pm slot
