Extended BBC ONE Idents - Sunday 23 January 2005

Despite a short announcement, Tango (18.45) was still 12 secs with 8/9 secs clean. I wonder why they're using the idents to their full use - they never have before

Can I helpfully suggest that you're getting excited for no reason whatsoever?

Those of you, not watching network bbc1 (i.e, viewers in scottland/ wales/ NI) is it normal?

Possibly but we haven't seen anything like this for a long while and it might just symbolise something

I notice Channel 4s new idents seem to be rather long - maybe someone at the Beeb saw this and decided they liked it?

How can we be sure? For all we know we could wake up in the morning and have a complete presentation change. It's highly unlikely but it could happen

Funny, I've been asking myself that for a while now. Answers on a postcard to the usual address.

Does that mean I have to stay up all night watching idents determined to spot some difference just because you won't tell me who you are or how you know there won't be a change?

If you want to do that, then please do. The rest of us prefer to get our beauty sleep.
