It has suddenly struck me that I am not actually sure what I am expecting from Sky.
Do you know what I mean?
I know that there will be changes to the studio, but what sort?
Basically, what is everyone expecting from this relaunch?
A more serious look, a more relaxed look, open plan, screen style - like the one at the moment, no newsroom, virtual, surrounded by the newsroom... CNBC and MSNBC style.
I just haven't got a clue what I am expecting from the relaunch.... so, what are people expecting?
There hasn't yet no, but everything suggests that there is to be one.. common sense prevails And last time the press release was only issued when the presenters were currently in a temporary studio.
'The channel is also taking on 12 additional staff and is currently being broadcast from a temporary studio until its new home is complete'
This was part of the LAST press release in 1998, and notice that the presenters were already in a temp. studio when the release was made, so I would expect them to only issue a statement once they have actually moved somewhere.

I'd like to see a more elaborate version of the current white graphics with some variations of the current music. The graphics look temporary at the moment, and could look a lot better.
The studio - lots of white, metal, frosted glass, bits of blue here and there. I reckon we'll get a wooden BBC-style desk.
We'll hopefully get some proper opening titles as well, with variations for different programs.
Something to keep in mind...
They went into a temporary studio on September the 25th, and came out of it on October the 1st.
This is not happeing over a weekend.....
I have a hunch that the studio might be like the Bloomberg studios.
Only a bit bigger.
This is basically the newsroom but there is a little glass capsule thing in the middle of it, with a desk and monitors and terminals and plasma screens, and that is the studio... the glass simply opens up and they walk in an out, but it must be airless in there! It is literally like a small glass box in the middle of a newsroom, but I like it.
