'excited' seems somewhat inapropriate

I don't think there is any news regarding the QM. I think Lee's source is playing a rather pathetic joke on him.

All I know is that at least one (I don't knolw which) newsteam has a rumour. We need to know the source of the information. Was it a family member Lee or someone you work with? I was emailed by someone, but then they ma have heard it hear first.

There is no other royal news today - so if Jennie Bond is leaving TV Centre in black, maybe we can expect a news flash in the next half an hour or so.

Hmmm.....reminiscent of the time CNN literally began to read the news that president Bush (not the current one !) had been assasinated in Japan. A newsroom employee leapt into shot and shouted 'no stop !' just before the newsreader read the line. It turned out to be a hoax.

RELAUNCH-NOW can you confirm the rumor and if so, what will sky news do, will it enter the new studio earlier as it is closer to the newsroom, and will we see some of the new graphix as i doubt sky have any special graphix ready in the current style.

I suggest people get into the TV Forum Chat Room so we get the latest as soon as anyone gets it.

If the announcement of the election (which was fully expected) was sufficient to trigger the current look, it would be an IDEAL time to launch the new look when viewing figures are potentially higher than usual (especially if other channels on the Sky Network advise viewers to turn to Sky News for coverage)

The new sky news set is in the same studio as the keyed set. I don't know what they'll do to be honest as I'm not there.

Fat chance, if anything it will put the relaunch back, is they will have to cover this story (if it breaks) 24 hours. The bad thing about this is not so much that the queen mum might have kicked it, but more that fox news in america will no doubt use sky news to broadcast the story. Meaning americans will see our embarrising bad temporary set!!!

Just to let you know that in London my source has told me no more news as yet but Buckingham Palce will probably make a statement tonight and that it is a big rumour in London.
