I think all the news agencies are now aware and are waiting for a responce from the Palace. If the worst is confirmed BBC will susspend programming on all channels asap, ITV will cut to the news (probablly at the end of the most recent show or in the ad) or unless they are 97 % sure. Channel 4 will also probablly interupt programming. As for radio IRN will take over.
I am predicting if the news is broke it will be around 7.30. Of course it could just be a bad illness and if it is this news will be reported with less urgency.

Does anyone know any site / board / chatrooms where these rumors may also be being disscussed, so we can find out more info.
Also, anyone who is an employee or knows employees at Sky News, BBC News or ITN, find out weather they know about these rumors.
I've got the tape running on News 24. I'm watching the BBC News at 6. If anything is confirmed between 1830 and 1900, I would expect the regions to opt immediately back to London.
Also, out of interest, if any sad news story was broken overnight, whilst the joint BBC News service was in operation, would they use the World News sombre music?
SKY ONE had normal programming with a message saying 'turn to Sky News for important Breaking News' - and no ads, just a piece of music with Diana's picture. Other Analogue Satellite channels also had instructions to turn to news channels. (I'm remembering that Cartoon Network had this all day)
BBC ONE & TWO went to BBC WORLD (no N24 at the time) after a few hours.
I personally doubt that any news service would report this without confirmation, for obvious reasons, so the BREAKING NEWS will come probably once an offical announcement, possibly visual (Bucklingham Palce / Hospital Representative making a statement).
Any word on where news teams have been sent/posted?
If anything is broken, then there definately will be a BBC News Report on BBC ONE and probably BBC TWO aswell, News 24 will suspend all scheduling, as well as BBC World.
Just to confirm that, apart from Lee's source, there is at present *no other* rumour or confirmation of any breaking story from anyone working at BBC, Sky or ITV at present, is there, or any indication that news teams have been sent anywhere..
So lets not get too overexcited yet unless anyone can confirm anything..
If true, my money is on Sky News flashing the 'Breaking News' up first before the other networks as soon as it is confirmed by BP.
It will be interesting in a situation such as this to see which network breaks the story first. If true all networks will be preparing to broadcast the news now and will just be waiting for the official confirmation so its probably going to literally be a race to see which network reacts the fastest.
