Lee - why post if you aren't going to tell us what has happened? It could be a natiuonal tragedy and we don't know about it.
We do not mind if it hasn't happened, you weren't being deliberately morbid - it must have been pretty serious to affect all of tonight's TV schedules - tell us - please.

That sounds about right...
I have expected her to die before october. The palace would not confirm untill all memebrs of the royal family are told, and the doctor had written the death certifiactes, so she could of died an hour ago, and the palace wouldnt of said a word, and untill they do, no network would run the story.

The Queen Mother (as far as I can tell) is Ill - but that may just be like it was before, that news didn't break straight away. I gathered it was the Queen Mother when you said nothing. I will let everyone know as soon as I hear the latest.

Martin, you could be right about the confirmation from Buckingham Palace.
We may hear something about the death (if it is true, and you would expect from reliable sources - how reliable has the source in the past?) later in the evening - perhaps later in the hour.
Would all radio broadcasts be switched off to sombre music as was the case with Diana's death (I remember - Melody FM - 'Normal programming has been suspended due to the death of the Princess of Wales' followed by instrumental music. I assume the news will be overriding all programmes on all channels - what happens on channels such as Sky One etc. that don't run news? Do they shut down?
If there are suspicions would you see a lot of commotion in the newsroom behind BBC World,News N24 etc as they would prepare the story if it is announced?
