The thing is that it's not really much bigger than the actual UK house, just layed out better.

A similar layout to BB3 would be best - maybe have a large pool in the middle of the garden, and go for one bedroom instead of two.

Talking of bedrooms - how many do you think their should be - 1, 2 or 3?

An update on the house with aerial shots of the back revealing a secret garden and beach hut (but no beach!!)

Secret Garden images

This matches with the image posted earlier from the News of the World, suggesting their "romp room" would lead out to the Daily Star's secret garden.

How do so many papers earn the title 'Official Big Brother (or "Big Bruv") paper?' I swear that at least 3 papers held the title last year, which doesn't exactly make the most sense ever.

They really are taking the sex aspect of BB too far this year. Nobody wants to see sex in the house (apart from a very small number of perverts), they just want to see how the housemates get on with each other and how badly they bitch about each other. They want to see the psycological side of things and how the housemates cope, as they could in BB 1 & 2. Hence BB 1 & 2 being the best and most successful (although granted many people have simply got tired of the Reality TV Format after so many repetitions).

Am I right in thinking they even ditched the Thursday Night psycological analysis of the characters in BB4? Although that bit of the show could get a tad boring at times, it's much better than just watching the housemates cope living almost literally on top of each other in their tiny house for the whole time.

The BB Oz house looks fantastic. It's huge - as the BB house should be. As someone said earlier, it gives the housemates a chance to bitch about other contestants together. It may also give the housemates the oppertunity to figure out ways to cheat - what with Nick's cheating still remaining one of the best moments from Big Brother UK.

Oh, and what happened to the plan of bringing back a real eye for the BB5 logo? The Star claims that this year's logo is a black eye with vertical white lines running through it. There's only so much they can do with the drawn eye logo, they need to go back to how it was originally.

Is it true that the Blinking Eye from Big Brother 1 was actually Natasha/Nicole/Whateverhername's eye?

Well, something's finally happening... goto the Big Brother website now, and you'll be greeted with the new logo. Not black, like said before, but RED on a BLUE background.
And it looks bloody lovely! Roll on May 28!

BREAKING NEWS: BB launch night schedule announced!

11 May 2004, 16:04
By Neil Wilkes

More details about BB5 are starting to trickle out ahead of an expected full announcement later this week.

Today the launch night schedule - for Friday, May 28 - has been confirmed. Proceedings will kick off on C4 at 8pm with an hour-long Big Brother's Little Brother countdown, fronted by Dermot O'Leary. The main focus of the episode will be the auditioning process, featuring clips of the best and the worst hopefuls from around the country.

The final episode of Friends will follow at 9pm, before the housemates enter in the live show at 10pm. The synopsis for the show explains how we can expect things to play out: "Before the new housemates move in, Davina McCall will give viewers an exclusive look around the all-new Big Brother house. Then, after undergoing rigorous security checks, the 12 new housemates will enter the Big Brother house one by one live on Channel 4. Viewers will get a chance to form their own opinions on the Big Brother 12 by catching the new housemates' initial reactions to each other and their new-look home and watch their first moments together as they settle in for their first night within those famous four walls."

Live streaming from the compound will begin on E4 at 11pm, while C4 viewers will be able to catch up with the first night events from 12.10am.

Stick with DS:BB for more on the launch of BB5!

So the late start for Big Brother should mean the show is 100% live and unlike last year there will be an audience for the first night as tickets are now available.

An official announcement is expected on Thursday.
