What a strange programme Play school is.

Perhaps in 2015, but not in 1976.

Surprised they didn't dig out an episode from the right day of the week, seems a bit lazy to put out a Wednesday episode.

It may have been by today's standards, but I've just replayed the theme music so many times as it brings back childhood!!

Ready to play?

Did they managed to choose a Play School where they didn't go through a window ? Would love to see more of Play School as it's such a rarity. Apart from the VHS clip release Re:Play I'm surprised there's been no release from the BBC.

This episode of Blue Peter is quite dull. But then not being born until 1974, this is even before my era.

Even the studio and gallery tour ? The basic principles of TV studio production haven't really changed in 40 years

I think a lot of people are forgetting when these programmes were made. Rolling Eyes

The behind the scenes in TC1 bit is quite interesting (although it's been on YouTube for ages). Nice demo of the old-school vision mixers.

I had to say that was a good little doc, and its sad to see how Account really have taken control. Even CBBC is rather poor compared to what we used to have.

I don't think there was anything sinister going on. There was a brand of cat food called Top Cat, so 'Boss' was substituted to ensure accusations of advertising were avoided.

Really enjoyed tonight especially Grange Hill as all I've seen of that end moment is on compilation programmes from an 8th generation copy. Also enjoyed the documentary too. Always thought that "For Deaf Children" (currently editing 1955 on Genome at the moment) actually had signing but alas it wasn't to be.
