What's the alternative though? UK, France, Ireland and Spain all merged into one vote to match the size of Russia?

I'm sure you're not as daft as that answer indicates! You clearly missed the point I made that smaller countries get equal votes, regardless of population.

You wouldn't have a general election where one constituency was 2,000 times the electorate of another, would you?

I didn't suggest a solution, as I'm not sure there is one.

I wasn't being entirely serious Laughing

Just making the point that the issue of mismatched vote-weighting isn't exactly a new problem.

Montenegro getting the same vote weight as the UK is no worse than Luxembourg getting the same in years gone by. Just something we have to live with. If a country submits an act they get a vote, seems fair to me.

Well the show's underway now, and Marija Serifovic is singing a rejigged version of Molitva. I've hit the red button for the lyrics, but so far there are no lyrics.

Anyone else going to sing along?

I though he was rather good actually (and that's sayign something from me, who absolutely hates this competition).

Good luck to him, I hope he does well Very Happy

Sadly there seems to be a serious fault with the sound on the BBC HD feed. Looks like we are only being sent the centre channel of the Dolby Digital mix. My amp is reporting a DD 1.0 signal.

The numbers for my contacts in Red Bee operations seem to be engaged at the moment, so I guess it isn't just me.

The solution is to turn AD on, this works on Sky boxes, press help then turn AD on.

Looks like its been fixed, strange someone said it was ok at source.

Turning on AD forces the Sky box to use the normal linear MPEG audio channels rather than the Dolby Digital matrix channel so it does not fix the problem - just hides it.

I've just had another listen to the HD feed before I head out, and it is reported as a 5.1 feed now although it does not sound like a 5.1 feed. There's nothing coming out my rear speakers and very little from the centre, just left and right front sound normal.

Shame really, as what little of the 5.1 feed I heard last year sounded very good.
