I hate to say this but I cant believe that Andy has won. His song was okay but Michelle was far superior.

I only saw the results show but the production was a shambles in every way, had the production team never done a live TV programme before?

That wild card should have never been there. All the other three songs where great, but I did'nt like Andy's

Why are our contestants so eager and happy to win? Surely representing the UK in Eurovision is career suicide.

Mmmm - what career? Confused

so just let the public judge the song

The public judged the song last year and look where that got us.

I thought that Michelle Gayle song was absolutely dreadful so I breathe a sigh of relief that it hasn't been chosen - Andy Abraham will not win Eurovision but at least it isn't totally embarrassing like last year's entry, or a turkey.

Michelle's song was much better. Vibrant, energetic, active, dancey, catchy... everything! Andy's sounds too old. It won't win Eurovision..we've made the wrong decision.

Most annoying though is the treating viewers like idiots in relation to the phone lines. The full screen lecture about your vote not being counted but possibly being charged before they'd even given out the numbers was very insulting.

And whose fault is that?

Well it's not the viewers.

It's everybody who kicked up a fuss last year.

The point is though firstly the songs on offer in the first place aren't that great, and secondly the public don't listen to the judges anyway. Cut the crap and have half an hour of 6-8 back to back songs, with viewers judging on the songs alone - not the back story, not the judges opinions, and then see where that gets us.

Having judges commenting on performances hasn't got us anywhere in the last few years since it was introduced - and a bigger change is needed.

Back to lines opening and closing - it's bloody obvious you vote outside that time your votes won't be counted, but could still be charged. All they need to do is say when they're opening the lines and when they're closing the lines - not give a lecture throughout.

Anyone stupid enough to phone outside that time deserves to be charged - and it's there fault, not the TV companies - just as it's not the recipients fault if the mail arrives late.

Where was the show filmed this year - was it back at TV Centre? I just wish the BBC would ditch those black stages they seem to use for virtually everything - it looked awful tonight.

Andy is far from Eurovision, but it was easily the best produced song of the bunch. He had poor sound through the first attempt thanks to his mic being lower, yet he was still the wild card. He wasn't picked by judges yet the public chose him... and he's 10 times better than any Scooch or Daz Simpson we've had in the last decade.

He wont win Eurovision, but it'll be a number one, and it's quite a title for him to personally have as a Eurovision competitor. Well done Andy that's all I can say... better than all the Woooo's Michelle provided us, thought Ken Dodd had been let loose with his Tickling Stick on stage again! Laughing
