It was not actually intended to be announced so early. However, it is a sport for the Dutch media to find out who will represent us and every year someone at the broadcaster talks past his mouth. Some things will never change.

It has also been announced that a large orchestra will perform during the interval act in the Grand Final on 16 may!

They had a quiz about Scott Mills on his radio show today in which one of the questions was "Which international music contest has Scott previously commentated on?". Might be reading too much into it but thought it was interesting how the reference was past tense.
Turns out nobody had 2020 vision.

Looks like very similar typography and graphic design to the past couple of years. (Which isn't a bad thing. If it ain't broke...)

Yeah, those (as you rightfully called them) ‘flag bursts’ caught my eye as well. I’m sure I’ll spend most of the night(s) transfixed by them.
