Seems that it's all automated - at least during the songs/performances:
CuePilot was again deployed for #Eurovision, switching on Grass Valley's Kayenne XL Vision Mixer, and taking timecode from Cue Lab, which also gives timecode to Pyro, Lighting, Sound and Automation. pic.twitter.com/Slgvli1ZLW
They've used CuePilot for years (interesting to see they now have a free tier for using the software!). The automation does rely on all your camera operators being on-shot on-time, you can't just hold for an extra beat while they finish framing. That said, there does seem to have been more little mistakes this year than normal.
