#GRC A powerful catchy song, I particularly wanted this to qualify Tuesday evening. I'm glad it did, and it was well performed tonight. I love the floral centrepiece on stage. Could be a top 10 contender, but not a winner.
#NOR I particularly liked this from the moment I first saw the preview video, and it's remained one of my favourites on subsequent viewings of the online videos and listening to the ESC 2019 CD album. I love the way it's got bits of joik in it, and the background images. This is one I most wanted to qualify Thursday evening, I'm over the moon it did. Top ten please, if not top five.
#GBR Now for the UK's entry. As a UK resident, it's not fair for me to judge this. Michael has a super smashing boice, and I like the background screen images, but this just seems a tad tame compared to many of the earlier entries. The best bit was towards the end with the fireworks.

#ISL When I watched Söngvakeppnin 2019 Final online live from the UK, on 2 March 2019, I hated this song most of all, and didn't want it to win. Against my wishes, it did. Tuesday evening I didn't want this to qualify, but it did (I guessed it would!). The choruses are thrash metal, which is not my cup of tea. Despite my dislike for this song, I think the haunted style music in the verses goes well with the thrash metal choruses; a marriage made in heaven. The staging is impressive, including the flame effects. I hope this doesn't win, but if there's a threat to the Netherlands, this could be one of them. Certainly I wouldn't be surprised if this finishes in the top five.

Was waiting for the annual Nick Robinson nugget ... it's happened.
That’s more like it! Iceland combines Ann Summers with piss poor techno pop https://t.co/4D3j3NGVxV

#EST Now for a much nicer song from Estonia. This reminds me of Sweden's "Popular" in 2011, but I think it's a weaker song. The staging was impressive, especially the forks of lightning, and it was well sung. I particularly wanted this to qualify Tuesday evening, and am glad it did. A mid-table contender at best though, no hope of top ten.
