I am pleased for him, but I personally can't help but feel like this song is the same kind of thing we always put up, namely, forgettable standard 'pop', and therefore, if we come any better than bottom ten, I'll be astounded.

If we weren't in 'The Big Five', I don't think we'd ever even quality for the final, (with the possible exception of the odd track that fares slightly better than most, i.e. Jade Ewan).

Fifty years on RTVE have out in their catch up service RTVE a la carta, the infamous 1969 contest from Madrid, when you know what happened ....

It's rumoured that Madonna is about to be confirmed as the final's interval act.

The Madonna rumour has been doing the rounds for a few weeks, seems odd like Timberlake previously. Incongruous bringing US acts in despite the promotion element. Timberlake sat uncomfortably in Stockholm in my view. We'll see.

Something tells me there is a bigger crossover of Madonna/Eurovision fans than Timberlake/Eurovision fans.

Not quite. The theme of the postcards is called "Dancing Israel" and it has the performing artists dancing in different places across Israel with lots of dance groups from the country. They'll have different types of dance like ballet, tango, folk and modern dance.
