That is beautiful. I hope this means a bit of a departure from the last two years with the on screen graphics etc.
Fair play to KAN, they seem really determined to do this one well.

From the outset it was said that the logo/stage would reflect the Star of David. This is clearly a huge chance for Israel to legitimise the country in the eyes of many viewers. The Star of David is a powerful symbol that goes far beyond its political use by the State of Israel. It’s all part of the culture wars that you see every day where many people deny Israel the right to exist. Even the EBU itself doesn’t allow KAN (previously IBA) to refer to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. This is almost Israel sticking two fingers up to its haters.

The Star of David is a LOT more than an influence from a flag... It is a much more powerful symbol than just that.

The Star of David is a LOT more than an influence from a flag... It is a much more powerful symbol than just that.
