Just watched the first of three France2 selection shows. Professional and slick, with a guest appearance by some bloke called Bjorkman from Sweden. Interesting that it's rare for France to do a public selection recently. The programme incidentally was produced for France2 by ITV Studios France.
BBC Music today confirms the names of the six acts and songs that will take to the Eurovision: You Decide stage on Wednesday 7 February to compete for the honour of representing the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Melfest streams from SVT all over the place and missing on some platforms too.
Nice for SVT to Tweet me with a full apology and explanation, seems they had widespread encoding difficulties which affected Apple platforms especially and not restricted to Melfest. The indexing also screwed on other platforms I gather which made the Android TV feed end up buried. Lets hope next week is better.
Top tip for those watching Melfest on SVT Play on catch up (aka from Sunday onwards). If you watch the feed using Google Chrome, turn on the translation option that pops up and and then watch it with subtitles turned on, they will also be translated into English. Not perfect but gives you an idea of what they're talking about if you aren't that hot on Swedish.

This works for a lot of foreign language television, I've done it with 6play.fr
The picture and sound froze for about 15 seconds after the fourth act. It did seem a touch low on technical problems up until that point, with only one or two mic issues.
