2 - (and worst) if it's close with the points - they announce the total points for 2nd, and then all attention heads off to the winner.
This is all easily fixed with better planning.
If the final result is not going to be close, and towards the end it is clearly about to cross a point where nobody can overtake the leader, then that needs to be announced. You point out that if the next batch of points goes to Austria, then Lithuania has won it. Tension music and then big reveal.
If it's not close, and it's right down the wire as it was this year, then they need to say "one of these countries is about to receive 240 points. The other will receive 280, and will win. The winner of the song contest is..."
Cut the winner celebrating, audience applause, and then during the winner's victory walk to the stage, quick split screen where you dump the remaining scores onto the board (graphics, rather than presenter reading them out).
It's weird that they haven't nailed this yet.
