Eurovision 2018

Quite underwhelming I thought. Nothing really stands out for me. If I had to pick a couple, they would be Cyprus and Finland. Other than that, meh...

Hopefully SF2 will be better.

Have you ever seen Eurovision before?

I'm currently enjoying the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 First Semi-Final on BBC Four. All 19 songs have been performed, and the voting lines have just closed. Here are my preferences based solely on all of tonight's performances:

Definitely want to qualify: Iceland, Lithuania, Estonia, Austria, Greece, Finland, Armenia, Ireland, Cyprus
Wouldn't mind qualifying: Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Croatia
Prefer not to qualify: Albania, Bulgaria, F.Y.R. Macedonia
Definitely don't want to qualify: Czech Republic, Israel, Switzerland

So these are the ones I want to see Saturday night: Iceland, Lithuania, Estonia, Austria, Greece, Finland, Armenia, Ireland, Cyprus, plus one of Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Croatia.

The UK voted this evening; I voted for Lithuania, Estonia, Greece, Armenia, Cyprus, Iceland.

Whilst previewing what is to come on Thursdays show there was a technical glitch with Slovenias‘ preview and I guess they played out the wrong package.
