He's the one Wogan quit over isn't he?

To be fair to Andy Abrahams - his song was actually really good I thought. It’s not as far fetched as Jemini blaming their score on Iraq!

Can't remember the song but he was bloody awful.

The song was crap, and Andy was knocked out in the first category round, only to be brought back by Wogan's "wildcard". Still by no means were any of the other songs winners.

The song was thoroughly awful and certainly deserving of where it came on the board. Andy is a good singer and it’s shame that’s what he had to sing even though he seemed to love it.

You think that's bad. I actually felt very turned off by how they made Sonia's loss presented as incredibly devastating, even though she was in 2nd place!

That goes right back to the year Cliff Richard didn't win with 'Congratulations' - anything other than a win gets seen as a bad result here, with the exception of Jade Ewan and Lucie Jones who are the only non-winners I can remember to generally be praised after the contest. Even Jessica Garlick's 3rd place was viewed as a disappointment at the time, but that was (just) in the pre-Jemini era.
