Guess what! It's how exactly 3 whole weeks since the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 Grand Final from Kyiv. How time flies! At last, here's my in-depth review about the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 Grand Final:

Eurovision Song Contest 2017 Grand Final

Please note that this report contains a few links to an associated report which is not available yet, and thus those links don't currently work. I hope to have my associated report finished and online tomorrow.

Bit uncalled for. There are always more important things going on in the world - this is a Eurovision thread.

Which networks don't they work on? The numbers work on every major mainland UK network.

The shortcodes don't work on "virtual operators" (Virgin, Tesco, GiffGaff, BT Mobile etc) nor on operators in the Isle of Man, Channel Islands or via Maritime Networks.

They only work on the big four operators - O2, Vodafone, EE and 3.

Three are the problem child. I know this first hand as my other half is a manager there. It's something to do with BT limiting the amount of calls a Three customer can make when dialling the shortcode. Sometimes it will let you through and other times it won't, and it's nothing to do with the lines being busy.

It was the the same last year, as we couldn't get through to vote on the shortcode.

Again, funny that each and every vote I made on Three went through fine.

I think it's an issue when wifi calling is turned on.

Does Three's WiFi Calling support SMS ? ( it should do, though Vodafone's doesn't, EE's does, not sure about O2 ?)

It does, via a special app.

I'm thinking of the standard protocol (that's the cousin of VoLTE) that Three have recently launched (the WiFi calling ap, they've been using for a few years is something different and proprietary)

Three InTouch is still being used for Android devices but Three WiFi Calling on iPhone does allow to send texts over it.

Latest top model Android devices use WiFi calling rather than the app.

I've got the Samsung S8 and it doesn't have WiFi calling. It's network dependant on whether or not you have WiFi calling...

You no longer need the Three InTouch app to use Wi-Fi calling on the S7. The four major networks all support this for the S7 and some other devices (such as the S8...)
