Seems to have been fixed now. Loose connection somewhere perhaps!

They didn't really give the stedicam operator enough time to exit the stage, clearly visible in this shot at the bottom left.

One for the die-hard fans, Brekkie. Nicely done.

Didn't know Arron Crascall was Croatian!

The violin might make it all feel a little bit old fashioned, but this can easily be fixed by adding a DJ who pretends to scratch. In real life of course, this is thirty years old but in Eurovision, it will give your number a contemporary feel.

Last year they told us exactly how to win!?

EDIT: Look for the camera infront of the camera - an this is the Final - it happens...

As Mel handed back to the stage for the interval act, it had already started behind her by at least 20 seconds but then they cut to the start. Are the links filmed during the rehearsals or have the BBC got the stream on a time delay? I don't really understand how they managed it.

They just delayed the live broadcast for this part. There was an ad break after it so they could easily cut into this.

I'm currently enjoying the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 Second Semi-Final. Here are my preferences based solely on all of tonight's performances:

Definitely want to qualify: Serbia, Austria, Malta, Denmark, Ireland, Croatia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Israel.
Wouldn't mind qualifying: F.Y.R. Macedonia, The Netherlands,
Prefer not to qualify: Hungary, Switzerland
Definitely don't want to qualify: Romania, San Marino, Norway, Lithuania.

So these are the ones I want to see Saturday night: Serbia, Austria, Malta, Denmark, Ireland, Croatia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Estonia, Israel.

Had the UK been voting in this semi-final, I would have voted for Ireland, Bulgaria, Estonia and Israel.

Anyway good luck to all 18 countries. May the best 10 countries, based on a combination of jury voting and televoting, proceed to Saturday's Grand Final.
My views on tonight's songs are here:
