Why does this thread refer to the contest taking place on '16th/18th/20th May 2017' when it is taking place on 9th/11th/13th May?

Those were the preliminary dates for the contest, which were then brought forward once the location and funding has been secured etc.

That's what happens when people feel the need to start the thread as soon as the previous contest ends (and then get banned!)

If the mods are able to go around banning people surely they can update the title?

Presumably these are first rehearsals with the performers themselves?

In recent years there are rehearsals of every song that take place before this, with local stand-ins who mimic the staging and mime to track? (This is to allow the TV rehearsals to take place before the performers arrive from each country, and thus saving significant amounts of money in terms of hotel rooms and other expenses incurred when travelling, whilst allowing the creative teams more rehearsal time)
