Think we can see where the date change has come from now. The Venue is heavily booked in March 2015, The window for transformation seems to be only open from 30th March, three events in late May are being cancelled / rearranged due to the contest as it is. 8 weeks to rig and rehearse seems about right for the effort, 7 would have been tight time wise.

The arena looks tiny! It's going to be like going back to Millstreet!
TI
The arena holds around 17,000. That's more than both the Malmö Arena and the B&W Hallerne. It's a perfect size, not massive but big enough to do the show justice.

So the strapline has been revealed ....
EUROVISION
SONG CONTEST
VIENNA 2015
BUILDING BRIDGES.
The Danube had to get in somewhere.

Building Bridges? Interesting. I think the slogan should have reflected the anniversary like "Past, Present, Future" or "Celebrate".
But Building Bridges is key because it's the message from the win last year. Russia will hate it though......

With this naturally dominating the Presentation Discussion agenda this week, how will our island field entries next year if a Yes vote comes in on Thursday?
The "cutting of the cord" so to speak isn't due to happen until 2016, so would Vienna be the last year the United Kingdom enters as-is, or will the EBU allow either BBC Scotland or STV to field a separate Scottish entry in this "interim" year?
And would Ken Bruce relinquish Radio 2 and commentate for Scotland on TV instead?
After a massively disappointing result for the United Kingdom this year, next year might be a good chance to test the water if Independence happens...

Because independence doesn't happen till 2016 at least, next year would be unaffected. But if the vote is yes, then next year should be a big opportunity to do so.
Mystery still deepens into why we did so badly this year when we were one of the favourites. Obviously the song was lacking something, and the vocals were not strong, but what else did we do wrong.

This is still perplexing me and I hope there is some sort of investigation. The bookies pointed to a top ten finished but we bombed.

I must admit I was expecting a mid-table finish for Mollie, something on the left hand side of the board anyway! The song grew on me in the run up to the contest but it really left me a little bit cold on the night, though I don't quite know why. No key change... no standout staging? Not sure... I think the UK really has become rather complacent about the Eurovision, just expecting what we believe to be our world-class songwriting skills to shine through. Sadly we haven't submitted a world-class song IMO since "It's My Time".
On the Scottish thing, it depends if the SBS (or whatever BBC Scotland becomes known as) becomes a full member of the EBU. I imagine it will, and the BBC website I think did say that it would mean a separate entry from Scotland would be possible. However I don't know whether the reduced individual financial contributions of the SBS and BBC mean that either remain in the 'Big Five' and would therefore have to compete in the Semi Finals. STV is also a full member of the EBU, so I suppose if the SBS didn't join there is a scenario where the Song Contest would air on the BBC in England, Wales and NI and on STV in Scotland... which would be very odd indeed!
In a way, perhaps if the BBC did end up competing in the Semis, there might be a little less complacency here...
