What are we missing during this painfully Xtra Factor style VT? Couldn't they let the EBU feed run and then do this in a separate programme after?

I'm currently enjoying tonight's Eurovision Song Contest 2015 First Semi Final. Here are my preferences based solely on all of tonight's performances:
Definitely want to qualify: The Netherlands, Greece, Estonia, Belarus, Russia, Denmark.
Wouldn't mind qualifying: Four (and no more) of: Moldova, Armenia, F.Y.R. Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Romania.
Prefer not to qualify: Albania.
Definitely don't want to qualify: Belgium, Finland, Georgia.

So these are the ones I want to see Saturday night: The Netherlands, Greece, Estonia, Belarus, Russia, Denmark, plus four (and no more) of Moldova, Armenia, F.Y.R. Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Romania.

Had the UK been voting in this semi-final, I would have voted for The Netherlands, Estonia and Denmark.

Usually I'd agree but from what we've saw so far I'm sure we're not missing anything. Production has been awful so far.

Why have they lifted the clips from last year from YouTube?!

So, the main EBU feed is doing a Guy Sebastian interview (albeit with that hint talking all over it) after the BBC did one in the opt outs. They've not thought this through.

Not sure what to make of the production, didn't have that big event feel to it. BBC coverage though was truly awful yet again and Mel bought absolutely nothing to the party. Even Sara Coz wasn't that bad.

Indeed. Impressive that they got through the results in literally 2 minutes however was there any need for those interviews with the representatives from Spain, Australia and France and the clips of the songs as well? That wasted a load of time. As always there's too much filler during the semi finals and I don't mean BBC Three content. Only 16 songs and they were stretched to the limit. Not impressed by the production values overall and the hosts were amongst the worst in quite a few years. The blonde host looked liked she wanted to be anywhere else in the world than on that stage!
