I truly think the Russian Grannies will win. They're bound to become an Internet sensation a la Susan Boyle (minus the voice) and public reaction together with the feel good factor will help them along.

Plus a few million votes from friendly neighboring countries?

I'm not sure many of Russia's neighbours are on friendly terms.

Mainly the South Caucasus, especially Armenia and Azerbaijan, but the only country to have a real reason to not like Russia is Georgia, especially after the 2008 War and Georgia's protest song "We Don't wanna Put in ", which saw them withdrawing when the contest was hosted in Moscow in 2009.

That is so unbelievably horrendous... it might win. Laughing

They become friendlier, when Russia offers to switch their gas off for them

I notice it's possible to pre-order the DVD and CD but not the Blu Ray. Perhaps the experiment is over?

They announced the Blu-ray last on their site last year too, ie. some time after they announced the CD then DVD. They (the Eurovision shop/TV people) hadn't announced the Blu-ray on their sites by this time last year.

Edit: They've just told me that the 2012 ESC Blu-ray will be sold this year. And that the 2011 contest Blu-ray is totally sold out and will not arrive any more in their warehouse (which is strange - if it totally sold out why don't they make more?).

If they had let the public vote for the song they might have picked a better one.

The one country that dislikes our entry is the UK. It seems to be going down well pretty much everywhere else.

I have to say that for once we have a proper song.

I hate it. I don't need to listen to it again.

So by that token it will probably win.

Our first glimpse of the set design this year- what does everyone think? I'm not sure if that's two separate pictures- or if the green room is indeed going to be out in the middle of the arena Confused

I did wonder, but I've come to the conclusion it's two different images. The stage design seems quite simplistic this year, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
