The first semi-final is on BBC Three tonight. Who's looking forward to it? I am.

I hear you accidentally got locked in a train toilet recently. That must have been terrible for you. How did it happen?

Was there a link to the Production Blog at all? I've had a look though this thread but can't seem to find it...

I already posted that the person who did the blog was not doing it on the original website, his new blog is available at the ESC website, but not to the same standard.

If anyone would like to watch the show tonight without commentary or any BBC additions, the clean live feed is now online here:

The quality is looking very good! Smile

Anyone know why Scott Mills is in London? Was that planned from the start or did something bring him back to the UK? He mentioned he was at the stadium at the weekend, so it seems a little strange to return to the UK to do the commentary.

Well at first glance the staging looks wonderful - very colourful backdrop behind the Swiss entry at least, though if I may say so, not as creative with the LED screens as Moscow. The HD stream on BBC HD looks pretty good to me.

Maybe something to do with the Radio 1 Big Weekend?

In that she has hardly been on?

I think they just made reference to a technical problem being the reason we haven't heard from Sarah Cox very much. Maybe she will be on more now.

Yes despite that she's still been better

It's not as if she usually needs a microphone to be heard from a long way away is it Laughing

It's strange that it's Scott Mills and Sara Cox doing the coverage of the semis, Eurovision has always been more of a Radio 2 kind of event than Radio 1 (Wogan, Ken Bruce, Graham Norton).

I can't see Radio 1 doing any form of Eurovision coverage on Saturday given the clash with their Big Weekend, and I presume Mills and Cox won't be involved in the TV coverage for the same reason.

Isn't Mills announcing our votes?

Although by that logic it's not as strange as having a Radio 4 person commentating as has been the case for the past few years!

Perhaps it's part of a move to encouraging a younger audience to the ESC?
