So, by the looks of it, they're doing an Oslo (and Riga) and sticking the Green Room on top of the seating behind the stage. Design doesn't change that much nowadays, does it?
And hopefully we'll have a grand reveal of the green room, with a curtain rising, just before voting starts!
The preciousness of some people here hasn't gone unobserved. I've usually ignored the debate but this Abbreviation criticism is bordering on hysteria. From a long time member, kindly desist. It does nothing to enhance the discussion and can be offputting.
Sorry Mods but I've had enough and had to say something.
The stage looks ridiculously large, but nice none the less - though I question now if even the BBC could afford to stage it. I guess though the costs are supplemented by ticket sales to some extent.
Paddy and Sarah's successors announced. Not as bad as I'd feared...
Scott Mills was an obvious choice (and he appeared on the Blue documentary last week) and I reckon he'd be quite good. Sarah Cox can't be worse than the girl who did it the last few years

Coxy will be doing the commentary and Mills the backstage reporting. This sounds miles better than ever before.
Although slightly odd to have two mainstream Radio 1 presenters when Eurovision is broadcast on Radio 2?
Not really, although who did you have in mind from Radio 2?
No I can't think of anyone from Radio 2 who could do it - I was just meaning that Radio 2 broadcast Eurovision but Radio 1 voices are involved. It wasn't the deepest point in the world
Think Sara and Scott are great though so am sure it'll be a good listen/watch. Sara in particular seems to be so much better than she was when she did Breakfast on Radio 1 - but that discussion is for another place!
