NRK did good. Slick, stylish, different to previous years, and very classy. Lovely lighting, nice changes of set, and loved the postcard sequences. Simple, cost effective and nice to see the Melodifestivalen back-stage shots have been adopted.
Didn't miss half of Europe's LED screens behind the performers.
Also very glad Albania and Iceland - best pop songs of the night - went through.
Shame Slovakia never went through if you ask me! I really liked the song, its astonishing Russia's tripe got through.
Have to say though, lovely production by NRK. I was unsure about the stage, and obviously its not as good as Moscow's, but I still like it. The glass stage looks amazing and I LOVE the postcards. The opening titles were nice too, I like the theme tune.
Also the presenters are good, they don't seem that strange
The postcards and the way they float and form up over the audience with maps and flags is very nice. A shame they're interrupted by the cut-aways to the performer waiting on stage, I don't really get it to be honest
I'm not sure it's as good as last year or the year before.
I also don't like the new voting all the way through, it's not fair and they're just doing it for the money instead of to make the voting system better.
It also means we get a MASSIVE box taking up tons of the screen near the end of each song saying "UK viewers do not vote in the semi-final".
